HATHA YOGA Hatha refers to the physical practice of yoga. Classes focus on breathwork, postures, relaxation, and meditation. This is an excellent class to learn the foundations of yoga. Postures are held for an extended period to ensure proper alignment, and build strength and flexibility. Each class will typically include centering, warm ups, sun salutations, standing postures, balancing, backbends, forward bends, twists, inversions, savasana and meditation. The studio temperature is usually set between 76 and 78 degrees. Modifications are offered to accommodate all levels. Each teacher will add their own personal touch, so be sure to try different classes. No yoga experience required.
VINYASA YOGA Vinyasa classes synchronize breath with movement. Postures are similar to our Hatha classes but they will move at a faster pace, resulting in a flow. This practice will help you build endurance and strength to explore more challenging postures, including arm balances and inversions. The studio temperature is usually set between 78 and 80 degrees. Each teacher will add their own personal touch, so be sure to try different classes. Some yoga experience recommended.

This style of class builds strength and flexibility while awakening your inner shine. It also is good for reducing stress and increasing focus and mindfulness.
MEDITATION: Meditation is an important part of the journey inward and a regular practice benefits the mind and body. Some of the benefits include improved focus and concentration, reduction in stress and anxiety, overall enhancement in health, wellbeing and happiness. Meditation may be offered within a regular group class.

YIN: A perfect compliment to the dynamic, active "yang" styles of yoga, Yin works on the other half, the deeper "yin" tissues of the body. Yin incorporates passive holds that can last 1-5 minutes to allow for a deeper stretch. The use of props and modifications make this class suitable for all levels.
YOGA FUSION: This class combines the active, flowing style of Vinyasa with the passive, quiet practice of Yin. Expect to build heat in the body as you flow through postures and then slow down and release tension and stress with mindful Yin movements. Some yoga experience is recommended.
YOGA NIDRA: Also known as yogic sleep, yoga nidra is practiced entirely in a reclined, savasana position. The yoga teacher will move through a guided meditation and offer long periods of silence to allow for deep relaxation. Yoga nidra may be offered at the end of a regular group class. No yoga experience required.
