HATHA YOGA Hatha refers to the physical practice of yoga. Classes focus on breathwork, postures, relaxation, and meditation. This is an excellent class to learn the foundations of yoga. Postures are held for an extended period to ensure proper alignment, and build strength and flexibility. Each class will typically include centering, warm ups, sun salutations, standing postures, balancing, backbends, forward bends, twists, inversions, savasana and meditation. The studio temperature is usually set between 76 and 78 degrees. Modifications are offered to accommodate all levels. Each teacher will add their own personal touch, so be sure to try different classes. No yoga experience required.
VINYASA YOGA Vinyasa classes synchronize breath with movement. Postures are similar to our Hatha classes but they will move at a faster pace, resulting in a flow. This practice will help you build endurance and strength to explore more challenging postures, including arm balances and inversions. The studio temperature is usually set between 78 and 80 degrees. Each teacher will add their own personal touch, so be sure to try different classes. Some yoga experience recommended.
