What are the benefits of yoga? Yoga benefits everyone in different ways, but some of the most common benefits include: increased strength, increased flexibility, better balance, a reduction in stress, mental clarity and focus, decreased pain and more energy.
Which classes are good options for beginners? We offer many options for beginners. The best place to pick a class best suited for beginners is by checking our class description page. Any class that says "suitable for all levels" or "no yoga experience required" is a great place for a beginner to start.
Are the classes heated? Unless otherwise indicated in a class description, all of our classes are non-heated. The studio temperature for classes is usually between 76 for gentler classes and 80 for more advanced vinyasa classes.
What do I need to bring to class? Please bring your own yoga mat. If you do not have one, we have extra mats for you to borrow. We just ask that you clean them after use. You may also want to bring your own bottle for water and a towel. We have a water dispenser for refills and extra small towels. Please throw any used studio towels in the laundry basket for wash.
How early do I need to arrive? Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before class starts, especially if you are new to the studio. This allows time for you to sign in, get settled on your mat and set an intention for your practice.
What should I wear to class? We recommend wearing light-weight, comfortable clothing that allows for freedom of movement. Some students bring a light sweater or long-sleeve shirt to put on at the end of class to keep warm during savasana.
