Studio Etiquette

To help create a peaceful, safe, and welcoming space for all, we ask that you observe the following guidelines when visiting:

BEFORE CLASS:

  • Arrive 5 to 10 minutes early, especially if you’re new. Give yourself time to settle in and start mindfully

  • Sign in at the front desk before class begins

  • Silence your cell phone and any other devices before entering the practice space

  • Remove shoes and store them, along with personal belongings, in the cubbies provided. We recommend leaving valuables at home. While the studio is locked during class, we are not responsible for lost or stolen items

IN THE STUDIO:

  • Refrain from wearing strong fragrances or perfumes

  • Let your teacher know if you have any medical conditions, injuries, or if you are pregnant so we can support your practice safely

  • The studio door is locked at the start of class to minimize distractions and support a safe, uninterrupted experience

PRACTICE WITH CARE:

  • If you need to leave early, please let the teacher know ahead of time and plan to leave before savasana begins. We encourage you to stay through the end of class and enjoy the full benefits of rest and integration

  • If you borrow a studio mat, please clean it after class. Used towels or eye pillows should be placed in the laundry basket

  • Respect the quiet atmosphere of the studio. Many students use this time for grounding and reflection, so please keep conversation outside the practice space

COMMUNITY AND SELF-CARE:

  • Practice kindness and non-judgment toward yourself, your body, and those around you. Yoga is not a competition. Every body is different, and each day is different

  • Listen to your body. Yoga should never hurt. If something doesn’t feel right, ease out, breathe, and reconnect with your breath and your presence
